Day 1: 08:00 AM – Depart Muscat for Nizwa. 10:00 AM – Explore Nizwa Fort & Souq (optional: visit the goat market only Fridays). 12:00 PM – Lunch at a local restaurant. 01:30 PM – Drive to Jebel Shams via Wadi Ghul (Oman's Grand Canyon) 04:00 PM – Arrive at Jebel Shams: set up camp or check into mountain lodge. 06:00 PM – Sunset views from the rim of the canyon. Overnight – Camp under the stars or stay in a mountain campsite or lodge.
07:00 AM – Breakfast with mountain views. 08:00 AM – Begin the Balcony Walk 3-4 hour. (easy-moderate hike along the canyon edge to the abandoned village of As Sab). 11:00 AM – Return from hike, rest and refresh. 12:30 PM – Begin return drive to Muscat. 04:00 PM – Arrive in Muscat.
